The Lutheran Thrift Shop receives a wide variety of donations. Some items are unique or unusual; some are antiques or collectibles. We are pleased to offer our customers an opportunity to bid on these selected items through a Silent Auction.
Three simple steps and you will be bidding like a pro!
- First, you need a personal Bidder Number. That number is kept on file so that you will not need to register more than once.
- Second, you should inspect the merchandise that you are interested in bidding on prior to placing your bid.
- Third, in the Silent Auction Notebook, locate the item that you are interested in bidding on by checking the number in the upper right corner of the page. It will match the number on the item tag. Then simply jot down today’s Date, your personal Bidder Number, and the amount that you wish to Bid in the corresponding columns. Be sure to check the minimum bidding increment listed.
That’s all there is to it! You are welcome to bid as many times as you like while the item is active. Generally, an auction ends on a Mon., Wed., or Fri. eight (8) working days after the last bid. After one month, if bidding is still active on an item the bidding increment will double.
One of our store volunteers will contact you by telephone if you are the winning bidder. You have one week after that call to pick up your item. Should you be the highest bidder and fail to pick-up the item you won, you may be banned from future bidding.
